There is a sticker on the top of the router

If your router has a sticker on the top with a wireless network name and wireless password, this means it's been pre-configured and is ready to connect to the internet wirelessly. All you need to do is:

  1. Locate the wireless network name and wireless password that are printed on a sticker on your router.
  2. Follow the steps in our online video tutorial. Alternatively you can follow our step-by-step instructions at: How do I connect my computer to the wireless network?

There's no sticker on the top of the router

If your router doesn't have a sticker on the top with a wireless network name and wireless password, the text on it is illegible, you have changed your wireless details or if you're having problems connecting wirelessly you can configure your wireless network details by following the step-by-step instructions below:

  1. Open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, type http://192.168.1.1 into the Address bar and press Enter on your keyboard.
  2. Enter the username and password and click OK.
Note: The default username and password are both admin (this is case-sensitive).
  3. Click Quick Start on the left menu.
  4. Enter the Wireless Network Name (SSID). This is the name your router will broadcast so enter something recognisable to you.
  5. Enter the Wireless Network Password. Make a note of this password, as you will need it to connect other devices to your network.
  6. Click Connect.

When you know your wireless network name and wireless password you can connect wireless-enabled devices such as a computerXbox 360 or PlayStation 3 to your network.

If you have another device that you'd like to connect wirelessly, unfortunately we cannot offer you help with it. However, most wireless-enabled devices will connect to your wireless network if you enter the wireless network name and wireless password correctly.
