Engineer appointment

Hello, my broadband stopped working earlier and I used my mobile phone o2 Internet to log in to Talktalk to do a connection test. The test took a long time and a fault was detected between the exchange and my home, but when I came back to the Web page, I got a message saying the Openreach engineer had been booked. But I did not book any appointment and now my broadband is working. But I cannot find a way to let Talktalk know that the Openreach engineer is not required. I am worried about being charged for this engineer which I had not asked for. Can anyone please advise me? Thank you.

Thank you so much, I managed to cancel via the chat that you recommended.

Please read this article, @Joeycat909:

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/openreachengineer

You'll see that it's an 0870 number, so not included in boosts.

You might try phoning into Talktalk and see if they will cancel it for you,  or use Chat.
